On Saturday, June 7, 2025, the Somali Bantu Cultural Enhancement Society of Alberta hosted an Eid al-Adha celebration at Rundle Park in Edmonton. This event brought together 35 families, a total of 170 children and adults. The children enjoyed the atmosphere, while everyone enjoyed a spread of home-cooked dishes prepared by different families, complemented by a BBQ. The program included speeches from organizers and volunteers, touching upon religious and social affairs, and integration within the community. It was a heartwarming occasion, celebrating Eid al-Adha with unity.
Celebration of the Eid al-Adha. On the second day of the Eid al-Adha, the Somali Bantu Cultural Enhancment Society of Alberta held a party at Runle Park in Edmonton. The party was held to celebrate the Eid al-Adha. It was attended by 35 families, totaling 170 children and adults. The children happily enjoyed the atmosphere of the day and the place, and delicious food and drinks were also brought. Speeches which included religious and social affairs and integration was addressed by the organizers and some of the mothers who were very happy to welcome us to this event on the occasion of Eid al-Adha.
